"You know we've been really lucky, so far on all the Saco's we've had great weather." On the eleventh

Saco the chickens came home to roost. The trip started with a slight rain shower that gave
way to sunshine and silliness. The Saco 11 crew headed downriver and camped at a new campsite which
got it's name, Sandy Steak Beach, when Mr. Steak made a re-appearance. The
next day dawned sunny and warm which would quickly change as we hit Brownfield Bridge. The rains
came. And came. And came. It wasn't a warm summer shower, nope a cold wind chilled the Saco crew
to the core. Thankfully Jeff brought along a screened in porch that protected us from the elements
until it collapsed on the weight of water in the middle of the night. On the final day we bailed out
the canoes, stopped by Dave's beach to leave a present that Jon came up with, hit Hiram and waited
to be pulled out. Where Mother Nature decided she wasn't done with us and it rained on us.
Yes, it sounds miserable and it was but we laughed the entire time making the best out of a bad situation.
