My third baseball game in seven days. What better way to
end it with the Yankees coming to Fenway? How about with first place in the AL
East at stake? Yup, it was as close to a playoff game as I've ever been. Now the
AL East is all tied up, with 2 games to play.
My seat wasn't the greatest in the world; I couldn't see the
batter at home without craning my neck. Who cares?!? It's Yanks/Sox, just being in
the ball park made up for lack of site lines.
As always there was lots of drama and fun.
We stopped at Boston Billiard for the $2 beers for a bit of pre-game. Here is where
we learned that Tim's buddy paid $400 for two
tickets for him and his girl. The catch, they were not seated together and he didn't
know this when he bought them. Hmmm, we never did see his girlfriend after the game.
The MVP got an RBI while the pretender went 0-3 with an error. After the game the Boston
police were lined up in Riot gear, just in case things got out of hand.
