NESN has said that when the Red Sox are playing
down in Baltimore that Camden Yards turns into Fenway Park South. I'd seen the broadcasts and assumed
the cameras were focusing in on Sox fans to play up that image. How wrong I was! During the
afternoon we noticed lots of people wearing Sox gear wandering around the Inner Harbor. "It's
probably because all the O's fans are at work", one of us said. That made sense. Until we made it
to the ball park. WOW! Everyone, I mean EVERYONE was in Red Sox gear. Hell, even the guy in
a Sox uniform & stilts that hangs out on Yawkey was outside Camden! During the game the Sox
players got standing ovations while the Baltimore players where showered with boos. Part of me
felt sad for Baltimore players and fans, having another franchise take over your park...
