You must visit this place! Adam (lil bro) and I drove into the city from
Washington and met with Adam (Pollack), Tetto and Ali at the hotel around noon. Immediately we headed down
to the Inner Harbor for a waterfront lunch. Once our food settled in we wandered around before heading into
the National Aquarium. Much fun was had, make sure you
stop in if you're visiting Baltimore.
Tetto and Ali needed a quick "nap" (they did have wide smiles later) before the game. The Adams and I
called up Brian Rivera, who was already sounding quite happy, and arranged to meet him, Sara and the crew at a local bar. Here is our conversation:
Me: Where are you guys at?
Bri: At McFaddens. It's at the Power Plant.
Me: We were just near there. See you in 10 minutes.
10 minutes later...
Me: Dude, I'm at the Power Plant. There is no McFaddens. What's it next to?
Bri: Next to the Tiki bar
Me: Ummm... I'm at the ESPN Zone. Where in relation to that?
Bri: I'm not sure, tell you what. I'm going outside the bar and look for you. Do you see
the building with the smokestacks?
Me: (looking up)Yes I do.
Bri: OK, what about the Fed Ex Truck? I'm right in front of it.
Me: I see it! I'll coming over... Wait, you're not here.
Bri: I am.
Me: You're not.
Bri: Ummm... Yes. I'm pretty sure I know where I am right now.
After a little wandering we discovered there are two bar areas, one called The Power
Plant and the other called Power Plant Live
within a few blocks of each other. At the time, both had a Fed Ex truck right in front of them. What
are the chances? All turned out well, we met and there was much rejoicing.
