Camping on the Cape

It only too us seven years, but we returned! During the summer of 1997 a couple of us decided it would be fun to spend a weekend camping out at the Cape. Four of us packed ourselves in one car and threw all the stuff we would need for the weekend in the hatchback. Everyone had a blast and decided that we should do it more often, and said we'd be back. Fast forward seven years and we're a little older, pampered and lazy. This time we filled up a pickup truck and two cars with our stuff (trunk and backseats!) for six people. Three of the originals made it back: Liz, Kirk and Kim (The Euro crew rides again?) and brought along husband (Mark), finacee (Rob) and girlfriend (Meghann). Wow, we are growing up! This weekend was a total blast with 20 mile bike rides, lazy afternoons at the beach, beers around the campfire, hikes in the woods and an evening in Ptowne. Good Times! Lets just not wait seven years to do it again.

The best part of having the camera is that I get to take all the pictures of everyone doing all the work. Perfect weather and great views near the ocean
Checking out the sand dunes of the ocean side. Lesson: Don't try and run up them!   My own personal Curse of the Bambino: No luck making Jiffy Pop on camping trips.
The crew riding bikes and watching the sunset on the Bay Side.
Sunset...
More Sunset...
Mark spins a tale of the deadly Were-Dogs of the Cape and we find that he may not be kidding after all!
Yum tailgate style breakfast! And Rob INSISTS on sitting with the girls on our trip into Provincetown. (six people in a Civic?!?)
