Europe beckoned.
Four brave souls made the long, dangerous (and it is dangerous on Iberian Air!) trip across the Atlantic in the summer of 1999.
Kirk Gartside, Josh Scofield, Liz Schlag, and Kim Makles made the trip and once it was over said "it was a trip that we will never forget".
What Happened
What a trip. Everything is up, the pictures, the journal, map and the calendar. I hope that you enjoy it. We went on this trip and did so many great things and met so many great people, I'd love to tell you everthing but I can't so certain things stick out in my mind and I will give them a brief mention. People first. Fun and Crazy Aussies, always looking for a good time, especially in Vienna. Beautiful southern belles (wink wink) overcoming thier fears and going canyoning. Kareokeing Austrian girls at the after hours club. College students in Brig who know how to show a couple of American tourists a great time. As to the best places to go: Versailles for the utter opulence and massive size of everything. Prague for the mix and match of architecture and pretty girls. Gotta give the thumbs up to the Spanish nightlife. Anyplace where the people are just getting to the disco at five in the morning is a good time. Finally the best part of the trip, the three great friends that went along with me.
