About Me

Thanks for stopping by, poke around all you like and feel free to drop me a line via the Contact Me section.

My site is divided up into a couple different areas, but most of the stuff is located in My Life and My Blog sections.
My Blog is hosted on Blogger.com and updated at random intervals with rants on current events and so I can babble about anything that pops to mind. In My Life I try and put up pictures of some of the more interesting things that I do, such as vacations, random fun things, major milestones and the big sporting events I attend.

History time! I grew up right here in Connecticut but after High School I spent the next six years in the Navy. The first two years were spent in training to become a Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operator, first in "A" School (Class 9017 ET) and then at Naval Nuclear Power School (class 9101) in lovely Orlando, Florida. Once the training was complete I was stationed on board the USS Enterprise and, yes, I got a hard time for that. Upon my honorable discharge I attended college at the University of Connecticut and pursued a degree in Management Information Systems. The four years at UConn were some of the best of my life. Since graduation I've been working as a programmer for St Paul Travelers Insurance in Hartford, CT. Believe it or not, I've been there since 1999 and am very happy with it. Yes, Insurance is fun! Ok, maybe not insurance but working in the tech field is. For play I like to do a number of things, first and foremost is travel. I've had the luck of backing around Europe after college (I've immortalized it in here in a Eurotrip section) with some of my close friends. New England sports are also one of my passions, with the Red Sox topping that list. For years all the teams were just bad, but in the mid 2000's they've really made sports fun to watch. My life has been blessed with a great set of friends and sometimes nothing beats just hanging out with a bud on the hiking trail or golf course.
